The Akhanda Approach

The Ashram is the hub for Akhanda Yoga, a holistic approach designed by Himalayan Master Yogrishi Vishvketu. Akhanda Yoga brings forward ancient wisdom for a modern age and incorporates all aspects of yoga – movement (asana), breathing (pranayama), sounding (mantra), meditation (dhyana) and Yogic wisdom (jnana) – in each and every class.

Akhanda Yoga Classes

Akhanda Yoga classes are taught at the Ashram twice a day:

6 – 7:30 AM
4 – 5:30 PM

Yoga classes are open to the public on a drop-in basis – 300 INR per class
Morning Yoga with Yogrishi Vishvketu when in residence – 500 INR per class

Indian Cooking Classes

 

Learn how to cook happy, healthy, sattvic vegetarian food using fresh local ingredients. In convenient hour and a half sessions, you will learn to cook two different dishes.

Classes are available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2PM (2:30 during the Summer) – 500 rupees per person.

Please register at the Reception (Dishes can be requested at registration).

Foundation Course

On a rotational basis, we hold specialized workshops in asana, pranayama, meditation and Yogic wisdom.

Notice of Photography and Filming

We regularly film the morning yoga classes so that they can be practiced again by students on our online platform. Students are welcome to find a spot that is not within the camera view. We also may photograph ceremonies or events. Please let facilitators know if you do not want to be filmed or photographed.
